Wally Bucknell has 40 years’ experience in mineral exploration in Canada and Australia. He was formerly General Manager-Exploration with Plutonic Resources and through the 1990s led a team of more than 50 geologists to discover over 10 million ounces of gold. Wally was awarded The Association of Mining and Exploration Companies’ Prospector of the Year for the blind discovery of the 2 million ounce Centenary gold deposit at Darlot in Western Australia.

Tony Simpson is the Managing Director of Black Range Minerals, Ltd., an Australian Stock Exchange-listed company focused on growth through acquisition, exploration and development of resources projects. Black Range is currently focused on advancing the high-grade Taylor Ranch/Hansen Uranium Project near Cañon City, Colorado.

Mr. Simpson is a mining engineer with over 40 years experience in start-up, operations and management in the mining of most natural minerals. A native of Wales, Mr. Simpson comes from a mining community. He started his mining career in 1969, working in the asbestos mines of what was then Rhodesia.

Prior to joining Black Range in January 2012, Mr. Simpson served as the Chief Operating Officer of Strata Energy, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Australian firm Peninsula Energy Limited. Strata Energy is currently working to permit an in-situ uranium recovery facility in northeastern Wyoming, USA. Tony’s past experience also includes serving as the Chief Operating Officer of GBS Gold International, Terra Gold Mining and PMA/Vanadium Australia Pty Limited in Australia, and as the Technical Director for Rhoex Limited in South Africa.

Married with 4 grown up sons and 3 grandchildren, Mr. Simpson and his lovely wife Jeanette have resided in Gillette for the last 2 years, but now split their time equally between Gillette and Perth, Western Australia. Avid 4-wheel-drive enthusiasts at home in Australia, the Simpsons enjoy exploring back roads and byways in the USA at every opportunity.

Managing Director of Burleson Energy Limited (ASX: BUR) is Michael J Sandy, a geologist (BSc (Hons) from the University of Melbourne) with over 35 years experience in the resources industry (minerals and energy). He is the principal of Sydney based consulting group MJSA and previously worked for Oil Search Limited (in Papua New Guinea) and Novus Petroleum. Mike was involved in the establishment and IPO of Novus in 1995 and held senior roles until that company was taken over in 2004.

In 2006, Mike, along with AKG Energy of Austin Texas, set up and floated Burleson on the ASX.

He is also non executive director of three other ASX companies (Tap Oil, Hot Rock and Caspian Oil and Gas)

Mr Starr was appointed as a Director on 19 February 2008 and Executive Chairman on 26 March 2010. Mr Starr has over 21 years experience in corporate financial management, with the last 18 years focused on the resources and mining sector, including his most recent appointment as Chief Executive Officer and President of Golden China Resources Corporation, and previously as Chief Executive Officer of Michelago Limited and Chief Executive Officer of Emperor Mines Limited. Mr Starr is a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants, a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Bernard is a qualified geologist with over 20 years international experience in mineral exploration and management. Bernard spent five years with Ashton Mining exploring for diamonds in Scandinavia and Russia where he played a leading role in the discovery of a number of diamond bearing kimberlite pipes. He then went on to establish and manage Ashton’s diamond exploration activities in Mali, West Africa where he spent 2 years. 

Bernard left Ashton Mining in late 1996 in order to broaden his exploration experience and since that time he has gained diverse multi-commodity experience which includes exploration for massive sulphide deposits in NSW, gold and copper-gold deposits in eastern Australia, sediment hosted and intrusive related gold deposits in Nevada, metamorphosed base metal deposits in Sweden and Finland and diamond deposits in northern Australia and western Canada. He has an impressive track record of identifying and acquiring new exploration opportunities.

Since 2003 Bernard has played an important role in successful capital raisings and stock exchange listings of four junior exploration companies including, most recently, Global Geoscience Ltd where Bernard is the managing director.

Bernard holds a BAppSc (Hons) degree in geology from the University of Ballarat and is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists.

Organisation: Incremental Oil & Gas Limited

Position: Managing Director

Gerry has over 40 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas industry in a career that has spanned all five continents. As a petroleum geologist he has been instrumental in the discovery of oilfields totalling more than 200 million barrels in Australia, Middle East and the North Sea. As Exploration Manager for Occidental Petroleum, Gerry was responsible in increasing production from 32,000 bopd to 52,000 bopd in 3 years in Oman.

Gerry was a founding shareholder and Managing Director of Incremental Petroleum. He identified the Selmo Oilfield in Turkey in 2005 and increased the production from a declining 1500 bopd to 2000 bopd when the company was sold in March 2009. 

Gerry was the president of three chapters of the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA). He has published 14 technical papers and is a certified petroleum geologist. He is a founding investor in IOG.

Mr Haythorpe is a Geologist by profession and has been associated with the Mining and Exploration sector for over 20 years. He gained experience in evaluating the technical and financial aspects of mining projects while working as a mining analyst for Suncorp, County Natwest and Hartley Poynton, and then as a Fund Manager with Bankers Trust. Previously Mr Haythorpe has served as Managing Director of Michelago Resources and Crescent Gold and as non-executive Chairman of Aurox Resources.

The Pareto principle (also known as the 80-20 rule, the law of the vital few and the principle of factor sparsity) states that, for many events, 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. Business management thinker Joseph M. Juran suggested the principle and named it after Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, who observed that 80% of income in Italy went to 20% of the population. It is a common rule of thumb in business; e.g., "80% of your sales comes from 20% of your clients."

Silver Lake is an ASX 300 gold producing and exploration company with a resource base of 3.3 million oz in highly prospective regions including the Mount Monger goldfield and the Murchison. Silver Lake’s strategy is to develop large production centres at Mount Monger and at the Murchison with multiple mines at each centre.

Silver Lake’s exploration programme is targeting 5 million oz Au in resource by June 2012. In addition, there is significant potential to increase the resource beyond that target over time.

Rimas Kairaitis is a geologist with over 16 years experience in minerals exploration and resource development in gold, base metals and industrial minerals in Queensland and NSW, working with companies including Shell Minerals, Plutonic Resources, and CRA. Mr Kairaitis is a founding Director of YTC Resources and has held the position of Chief Executive Officer for YTC Resources Limited since May 2007.
Mr Kairaitis has extensive experience in tenement acquisition, exploration project management and mining feasibility as well as experience in capital raisings and corporate management. 

He was a founding Director of the successful mineral exploration company LFB Resources NL (now a subsidiary of Alkane Exploration Ltd). Since 1999 he has worked as a geological consultant. Mr Kairaitis has a strong exploration track record, being closely involved with the discovery of the Wyoming Gold deposit in NSW in 2001 and the McPhillamy’s Gold Deposit in 2006.

Rimas was a founding Director of YTC Resources which listed on the ASX in May 2007.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) with first class Honours and University Medal in 1992 from the University of Technology, Sydney. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
